I have been working on learning how to develop raw files. Before figuring out how to work with the raw files I had quite a backlog of raw files from November and December. These shots are from pictures that I took at the Capitol in December and a picture from a series that I did of hands making cookies. I am currently working on a series of pictures of constructed faces in art and architecture and I am also working with some landscape pictures that I took last summer. I think that the small lights in the Capitol pictures kind of blow out the shots and are distracting but I still find them kind of interesting. I'm glad people are still posting on the blog.

Recent Photos

I've been having fun playing around with my camera and thought I'd post a few pics. I've run into a couple classmates who mentioned that it would be fun to keep posting on this blog...so here goes. We went to Leavenworth where we had a great time in the snow. The pic of the girl with the red hat was my attempt at capturing "rim lighting". I've found it is difficult to not overexpose the highlighted parts while keeping the rest of the picture properly exposed. If anyone has any tips, that would be great. Recently, I've been playing around with RAW files, and I've found that I much prefer them when converting a photo to B&W. There is definitely a difference!
